Renovation Part XXIV: Starting in the attic

Written by ロナルド on . Posted in .

Last week the system didn’t send the newsletter. This is the link to the update of last week. The cats weren’t around much this week to take a nice pic for the post image.

Due to a lot of other work, I didn’t do much in the studio. I created a clamp-rack from leftover wood last Sunday. And I finished the shelves. I added 2 LED strips behind the Plexiglas and added 2 boards.

Yesterday I bought some more construction wood, cleaned the attic, filled the gaps with PU foam, and started measuring the space.

Nothing is 90º of course, I’ll try to make the walls as straight as possible 🙂 .

Today I started the work — creating the new office to be –. It will be a lot of work and I still need to think about the finishing. As told before, I don’t like the OSB boards as a finished look, but I don’t think I will cover them with parquet again.

I finished the easiest wall today.

I didn’t start with the OSB on the floor, a 40-50cm base will be made there for a bench and shelves.

Then I cleaned the roof and treated the wood with anti woodworm stuff.

I’ll continue tomorrow, I already have a lot of great ideas for the setup of my new office.

Thanks for reading the update.

またね (Until next time),
