This week we placed the window in the studio and the small window in the office-to-be.

I also prepared the small space to have the concrete poured. Now the complete space finally has a concrete floor for the first time in 325 years 🙂

Since I salvaged a lot of wood from the house, and I still have more to be removed from the attic, I have extended the garden cabin with a firewood storage. Most of the salvaged wood will be chopped into pieces and will give me warmth for two winters. … talking about ‘free energy’ 🙂 .

I bought a Makita 18V battery-powered planer (DKP181) and wow, what a nice tool. I planed all the old wood for the storage construction.

It’s not yet completely finished, it rained almost the whole day so I will finish it next week. My neighbour still had some roof cladding left from his previous renovation and it was exactly enough for my roof. I think the red and black combination on the roof looks nice.

Today I also started to render my special project wall! The part I did today took me about two hours. A lot of smoothing needs to happen in multiple layers. Not a bad result so far for someone who never opened a bag of cement in his whole life 🙂 .

In the second picture you’ll see two granite stones. These will stay visible and in the end the wall will be painted white.
