Only a small update this week. ‘La Maison des Chats’, is French for ‘The Cat-House’.

The place where the old small window was, has turned into a Cat House. When the sun is shining, it’s warm over there and a few of my cats like to sleep there. I bought a tile on Etsy at les carreaux de Lydia, and I bought some mosaic tiles at the hardware store and this is the end result:

On Wednesday evening I mounted the plexiglass in the wall cabinet. A few shelves will be added this week, I bought some extra wood today. Maybe I also will add more LEDs behind this wall for a better effect. We’ll see…

Friday I had the whole day to work in the storage room and started creating the stairs. The boards are very heavy and it was quite a task to get the first module on its place:

The internal measurements of the cabinets are 40 by 63.5cm with different heights. A perfect fit for my tool boxes. Drawers will be added later. First I need the basic stairs to be finished, so that I can start in the attic with insulation of my roof and create the new office. Winter is coming and it’s already cold at night.

And as you can see, Cotton can’t wait until the stairs are finished.

The second part was already much lighter and easier. This construction of these parts took me the whole day until late in the evening.

Today I wasn’t at home. I had a meeting with a friend to talk about a future project. In 2021 I started creating molecule models and we are going to create more models and complicated / sophisticated models. An introduction to these models can be found on this page: Molecule Models. I have an assignment already, consisting out of about 650-700 atoms. This is a reasonably complex set of molecules and will start ASAP.
